Parent Teacher Consultations

Dear Parents,

The class teachers are very much looking forward to meeting with you at our Parent Teacher Consultations on 13th and 14th March.

These meetings are an opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher and talk about the progress that your child is making personally, socially and academically. They will also communicate learning targets, so that you can support your child’s learning at home and will share work completed in their class books.

Appointments are scheduled to last for 15 minutes, and we kindly ask that you arrive promptly for your slot. This will ensure that you maximise your time with the teacher and do not run over into the next appointment.

Consultations are scheduled to take place on Tuesday 13th March and Wednesday 14th March. FS1 & FS2 appointments will commence from 2:30pm through to 6.00pm, whilst Years 1-6 will run from 3:00pm through to 6:00pm.

Most of the specialist teachers will also be available on these dates including Ms Jennie our STEM specialist teacher. If you would like to meet with our Spanish teacher Cristina Blazquez, she will be available on Tuesday 13th March.

We sincerely hope that these timings provide you with the flexibility of attending either an early or later appointment.

Appointments for the Parent Teacher Consultations can be made through this link:

We look forward to seeing you.

Best wishes,

British Girlguiding Overseas – World Thinking Day Thursday 22nd February

VHPS to celebrate – World Thinking Day

It has long been a tradition for Girlguiding members to be allowed to wear
their uniform to school to celebrate World Thinking Day on 22nd February
when Girl Guides and Girl Scouts everywhere throughout the world remember
each other and reaffirm their commitment to international friendship and
understanding.

Any girlguiding members that attend VHPS are allowed to wear their
Guiding uniforms on this day.

This would potentially involve:-
Rainbows aged 5 – 7, Brownies aged 7 – 10, Guides aged 10 – 14+, Senior
Section aged 14+  and  Adult Leaders aged 18+

Boys are also welcome to dress in scout uniform also.

World Thinking Day also falls on our International Day – where the children will be attending school wearing their national flag colours. It is up to you what you would like your child to wear.

Thanks

The VHPS Team

Dear Parents,

The workshop will take place in the Music Room at 8am on Monday 26th February.

The session will be focusing on how to best use the computer program Education City to help support pupil’s learning. Mrs. Hayley Martin will be demonstrating how to navigate the site and some of the best activities to use. There will also be a section for older children in KS2. Parents with children in Years 1 to 4 will get the most out of this workshop, however, the workshop is open to all parents.
