Moving to Secondary School
At VHPS, we are dedicated to fostering strong partnerships with secondary schools across Dubai, ensuring our students are well-prepared for the next stage of their education. We strive to provide a seamless transition where every child is nurtured, challenged, and empowered to excel. Both Mr. Rothwell and Ms. Sasha regularly visit secondary schools, allowing them to offer informed, impartial guidance to parents as they explore the best options for their children’s future.
Eid Hamper Initiative
In the spirit of giving, our teachers have shared a list of items for the Eid Hamper Initiative to give back to our amazing facilities team. We encourage families to take part in this meaningful effort. Please sign up using the link your class teacher has shared via Seesaw.
Deadline to bring items into school: Tuesday, March 18th
Year 6 Uniform Check-In
As our fabulous Year 6 students get ready for their big leap to secondary school, it is time for a uniform check-in. We want them looking sharp, taking pride in their appearance, and setting a great example, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
Please ensure your child is adhering to the following uniform expectations:
- Skirt Length – Keep it classy, not too short. Skirts should be a respectable length in line with school guidelines. Mid-thigh.
- Footwear – Smart, black shoes only (except on sports days, when white or black trainers are permitted).
- Earrings – Only simple stud earrings are allowed. Hoops may look stylish, but they are not part of our uniform policy.
Let us set them up with good habits now before secondary school raises the bar on uniform standards. By working together, we can prepare our students for their next adventure while helping them develop pride and respect for their school community.
St. Patricks Day
On Friday 14th March, we invite children to join in celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by wearing something green if they wish (optional). Whether you have Irish heritage or simply want to take part in the fun, this is a lovely opportunity to celebrate together! Members of our schools Irish community will be sharing more information about St. Patricks Day in an assembly on this day.
World Down Syndrome Day – March 21, 2025
Victory Heights Primary School is celebrating inclusion, diversity, and joy! Join us in raising awareness by wearing your brightest, most mismatched socks. The crazier, the better! Let us come together to spread kindness, embrace differences, and create a world where everyone is valued. Please tag us in your funky sock photos to show your support!
One of our wonderful parents runs a company called Included and Perfectly Different and has created amazing socks to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day! They have kindly offered all VHPS parents 10% off using the code VHPS10. Let us show our support for this lovely family and spread awareness together.
And Finally… VHPS City of Arabia Update
We are seeing fabulous progress on site – the building is really taking shape, with glazing and interior fit-out well underway. Four model classrooms are ready – ahead of our upcoming WhichSchoolAdvisor feature, so keep an eye out!
Our academic team is coming together nicely, with recruitment this week highly qualified teachers from leading schools in Dubai, ensuring an exceptional learning experience for our students.
Admissions numbers for the 2025/26 academic year are really positive, with many prospective families telling us they have had word-of-mouth referrals from existing families. A huge thank you to everyone spreading the word! Please continue to share our story as we build something truly special.
Remember, if you are interested in moving your family to City of Arabia, please let our admissions team know – admissions@vhprimarycoa.ae
Thank you for your continued support.
Warm regards
VHPS Team
