Sports Squads

Dear Parents

Please see below for the trials taking place next week. The coaches will meet the children in the MPH (large sports hall) for every trial to register them and then move to the facility (e.g. astro turf). If the lesson takes place in the morning, children need to bring spare socks/shoes (depending on the sport) to change into. Children will find out by the end of the week if they have been successful.

Well Done VHPS Swim Squad

Wonderful news! We are delighted to announce that the final scores have finally come through for the swimming galas and Victory Heights Primary School have been promoted to Group B!

This is a fantastic achievement and puts VHPS into the top 12 schools across the whole of Dubai!
We are extremely proud of every swimmer who took part in the swim galas over the year! Well done also to all the PE department, especially Coach Mo for all his hard work with the early morning swim sessions. Congratulations!

Girls Football

Dear Parents,

“Neil Allmark will be running the first of the evening football sessions for Year 4,5 and 6 girls on Monday 1 May, from 6.00pm to 7.00pm, on the school pitch. Feel free to come along. There’s a mix of skill levels, from school team players to complete newbies. Hope to see you there.”

Kind regards,

Year 4 – 6 Girls’ Football

If your daughter is interested in playing football, Neil Allmark (Nina and Darcy’s Dad) is planning to run football training on the school pitch. To work around the long list of existing ECAs, and to accommodate some of the football squad, sessions will be held on alternate Sunday and Monday evenings, between 6.00pm and 7.00pm.

Ms. Sasha and Mr. Simmonds have kindly agreed to the use of the pitch and the football equipment. The sessions will therefore be free to attend.

The sessions are intended for the older girls but if any Yr 3 children are interested, they’re free to come along.

The heat and humidity will be monitored and – if there is sufficient interest – the sessions may be moved to an indoor pitch, if it’s getting too hot. The cost and location would be discussed with interested parents.

Finally, if there are any other parents that are interested in helping Neil to run the sessions – and maybe add to Neil’s very limited skills – this would be very much appreciated, and could help on the occasional weeks when Neil may have work travel.

Subject to numbers, Neil is planning to hold the first session on Monday 1 May. You can contact Neil with any questions, or to put your daughter’s name on the list.
