We are excited to invite all primary school children to join our Invention Model Competition! Here is the challenge:
 Create a small 2D or 3D model of an invention that originated in your home country.
 Write a paragraph or record a 1-minute video telling us about the invention and its inventor.

 The winning models will be proudly displayed for everyone to admire! 
This is their chance to celebrate their country’s innovation and showcase their creativity.  Please remind them to submit their creations to Ms Iman by October 11th.

We can’t wait to see your amazing ideas! Don’t miss out!

Dear Parents,

We are excited to inform you that Teach Rex will be returning to VHPS and VHFS with an extraordinary guests —Fito the Orangutan visiting PS children and Jam the T-rex dinosaur visiting FS children! This visit is part of our special Conservation Week. This is a surprise, so please don’t tell the children—we want to keep the element of surprise!

Event Details:
Date: Wednesday 2nd October
Year Groups: Year 1 – Year 6

Date: Thursday 3rd October
Year Groups: FS1 – FS2

To make the day even more exciting, we are inviting all children to come dressed in safari-themed outfits! Whether it’s an explorer’s hat, animal prints, or anything that brings the spirit of the jungle to life, we encourage creativity and fun.

The total cost of the event is 30 AED.

Please ensure that you have made the payment on PayHub360 by Wednesday 25th September 2024. Payment must be completed through the PayHub App only.

Dear Parents,

We are thrilled to announce a special visit from author Charlotte Jones to our school, where she will be sharing her enchanting book, The Zuggler in Dubai, with our Year 1, 2, and 3 students! 

The Zuggler in Dubai follows the adventures of an expat child exploring the vibrant city of Dubai, and it’s sure to captivate the imagination of our young readers. This visit is a fantastic opportunity to inspire a love for reading and to introduce our students to the magic of storytelling.

On the day of the visit, you’ll also have the chance to purchase a copy of the book for just 40 AED(cash) and have it personally signed by Charlotte Jones herself. What a wonderful keepsake for such a special event!

We can’t wait to share this memorable experience with our students and hope you’ll join us in celebrating the joy of reading. Stay tuned for more details!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We’re excited to announce that the Spare APP’s Kiosk Online Ordering feature is now live!

With this new service, you can conveniently order a variety of options for your child, including hot meals, freshly baked goods, salads, fruits, snacks, and drinks.

Key Details:

• Pre-ordering: Plan ahead by placing orders up to 1 week in advance.
• Cut-off Times: Orders for next-day delivery must be placed by 3:00 PM daily. For Monday deliveries, please ensure orders are submitted by Friday at 3:00 PM. Orders placed after this cut-off will not be accepted.

Our meal plan bundle is available on the Spare APP. You can register your children and choose from various options and prices easily. Simply log in to the Spare APP to view and purchase the meal plans.

Additionally, we have provided a breakdown of payments for the first term. Our meals are both healthy and delicious, and we hope your children enjoy our offerings.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We look forward to welcoming our VHPS community on Monday 26th August. To ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of our students, we kindly request that all parents and guardians follow these drop-off and parking instructions:

One-Way System:

Please adhere to the one-way system indicated on the map (attached) when navigating around the school. This system is designed to maintain an efficient traffic flow around the school premises and ensure the safety of all children and adults. 

What Gate?

Children in Year 1 and 2 should use Gate 2 for drop-off. Children in Years 3-6 should be dropped off at Gate 4.

Siblings:

If you have multiple children attending the school, please drop them off at the first designated stop to avoid making two separate stops.

Be ‘Bag Ready’:

Ensure your child has their bag/s ready when exiting the vehicle. This helps expedite the drop-off process and reduces delays. Parents are not required to exit the car. Our school staff will be present to assist children with safely exiting the vehicle.

Restricted Site Access:

Parents are not allowed on the school site at drop-off*. All children should be dropped off using kerbside drop-off or, alternatively, at the school gate on foot. This measure is in place for the safety and security of all students.

Year 1 Parents:

Parents of Year 1 students are welcome to drop their children off directly at the classroom. Please park by Grandiose Supermarket or the sand area opposite Gate 2 for this purpose. Starting from the October half-term, Year 1 parents will drop off children at Gate 2.

Encouraging Drop-Off:

We strongly encourage all parents of children in Years 2-6 to utilise the drop-off system. Parking space is limited, and site entry is restricted, making the drop-off system the most efficient and convenient option.

Thank you for your cooperation in following these guidelines. They are designed to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and to maintain a smooth traffic flow around the school premises. Your understanding and support are greatly appreciated.

*With the exception of Year 1 parents until the October half-term.
