Year 6 Uniform Reminder

Dear Parents,

As our fabulous Year 6 students get ready for their big leap to secondary school, it is time for a uniform check-in. We want them looking sharp, taking pride in their appearance, and setting a great example, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

Please ensure your child is adhering to the following uniform expectations:

  • Skirt Length – Keep it classy, not too short. Skirts should be a respectable length in line with school guidelines. Mid thigh.
  • Footwear – Smart, black shoes only (except on sports days, when white or black trainers are permitted).
  • Earrings – Only simple stud earrings are allowed, Hoops may look stylish, but they are not part of our uniform policy.

Let us set them up with good habits now before secondary school raises the bar on uniform standards. By working together, we can prepare our students for their next adventure while helping them develop pride and respect for their school community.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Regards,

VHPS Team

School Uniform

Dear Parents,

We are excited to kick off another school year! Let us make sure our little ones are looking sharp and feeling fantastic in their school uniforms.

👞 Footwear Fun: Black school shoes are always classy! For PE, white or black trainers are perfect.

🎀 Hair Happiness: Keep hairstyles neat with accessories in school colours only, please!

❄️ Outerwear Charm: Stay cozy with our school fleeces and cardigans during the day. If you have a different colored fleece or coat, kindly tuck it away in your cubby when you arrive at school.

New Campaign Alert!

Dear Parents,

We are thrilled to announce that our Victory Heights Primary School students will take the lead in our Moral, Social, and Cultural (MSC) lessons next academic year. We are launching an exciting new social media campaign called “Capture Culture” to kickstart this initiative. This campaign encourages you to teach us about your home country and compare it to the United Arab Emirates, the country we proudly call home. We need your help! Students and Parents, we invite you to be the stars of our ‘Capture Culture’ campaign. We want to hear your stories, see your traditions, and learn from your experiences.

Create a short video (between 1-5 minutes long) explaining life in your home country, covering aspects such as:
– National food
– Music
– Animals
– Dance
– Celebrations
– Traditional dress
– Language – We would love to hear you speak in your native language and then translate it into English for us.

Martim in Year 3 Yellow has produced an incredible example video to inspire you. These cultural campaign videos will be used in our MSC learning, and one will be featured on our social media each week. Whether you’re in FS1 or Year 6, you have a part to play. Get creative and think outside the box! If you’re travelling to your home country during the summer, show us some famous landmarks or your favourite areas.

We are excited to see your creativity and learn from your experiences. Please send your video entries anytime during the summer break to Ms. Nóra at [ndoherty@vhprimary.com]We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Regards,

VHPS Team
