Weekly Update

Dear Parents,
What a lovely week we have had here at Victory Heights Primary School, full of creativity and exciting learning experiences. We wrapped up the week with our fantastic finale, TT Rockstars Dress-Up Day! The students had a blast and showed off their creative side, and it was wonderful to see such enthusiasm for learning in a fun way.
Looking ahead, we have some exciting events and important reminders to share with you:
Punctuality Reminder
We understand that traffic can sometimes be challenging, but we want to remind everyone of the importance of punctuality. Arriving on time ensures that lessons are not disrupted, allowing all students to get the most out of their school day. We appreciate your support in this! As a reminder, gates close at 7.55am at the Primary site. At VHFS, drop off for FS1 closes at 8.00am, and FS2 at 8.20am.
VHPS Talks – Coffee Morning – Thursday, 6th February
Join us for an insightful Coffee Morning with Leyli Afsari, a UK-trained psychotherapist, as she discusses the topic of ‘Screen Use and Wellbeing Among Young People.’ This will be an excellent opportunity to explore the impact of screen time on children’s mental health and how we can support them in navigating the digital world. The session will take place in the Primary School gym at8:00 am on Thursday, 6th February.
We highly encourage all parents to attend this valuable discussion.
Inside Out Dress-Up DayFriday, 7th February
Our Student Wellbeing Ambassador and Wellbeing Champions would like to invite everyone to show their support for Children’s Mental Health Week by taking part in an Inside Out-themed Dress-Up Day on Friday, 7th February.
Students are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite characters from the movie, wear clothes in the vibrant colours of the characters, or simply turn their school clothes inside out for some fun! Our Wellbeing Champions also have some fun activities planned to mark the day.
We can’t wait to see all the creative outfits and show our support for this important cause!
Current Period 9 Activities
As part of our ongoing efforts to foster independence, we allow our students to choose from a variety of Period 9 activities during the school day. These activities offer them the opportunity to explore different interests and develop new skills. Below are a few of the current activities available for the students to take part in: Irish Dancing, Cooking, Dance, Drama, Muay Thai, Sign Language, Dragons Den, Cartoon Drawings and Book Club. In total we offer over 70 different activities every week!
